Friends of Hospice will provide learning opportunities to assist people in understanding the dying process, how to live life well at the end of life, and how to cope with grief and loss. Learning is connected to Planning, and may be the two most important components of the Friends of Hospice mission.
Activities will include sponsoring workshops, providing website content, newsletters, support groups, and lectures. Check our calendar listings and Facebook pages for current and future learning opportunities.
» Conscious Aging – Friends of Hospice will sponsor two workshops each year, using certified instructors who are also on staff at Partners In Care. Both instructors have also participated in The Sacred Art of Living program and have extensive experience in hospice care and grief counseling. The first series begins on May 5, 2016, meeting every Thursday evening from 6-8pm for six consecutive weeks. The cost for Friends of Hospice members is just $100 for the entire series, which covers the cost of the workbook, food and beverage, and facilitators.
» Learn Over Lunch! – Monthly educational programs held on the third Friday of the month. Free. Light lunch provided. MUST rsvp. Watch the calendar and Facebook posts for details.
