End-of-Life Rituals and Remembrances
May 24, 2018 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pmFree
Thursday, May 24th, 5:30-7pm
Wyatt Conference Room, Partners In Care
At the end of life, the dying person’s physical needs are well attended to by medical and hospice care. Beyond meeting these needs, how can we utilize rituals to help facilitate a peaceful death, bringing reconciliation and acceptance to loved ones as well as to the person dying? And how can we continue to honor them after death?
You are invited to a no-cost educational program to explore:
– Rituals and ceremonies using water, oils, lighting, music, aromas, silence, and objects.
– Ancient traditions and modern trends in burial and remembrances.
– Unique cremation art glass urns and objects that hold ashes.
Light refreshments provided. Free and open to the public; bring a friend! RSVPs required for planning food, beverage, seating, and parking.
